Here is an in-depth look at a part of the listening sections from both the TOEFL and IELTS Academic. there are 5 golden tips on how to categorize and identify the subtle similarities between both tests and how each can be tricky in its own ‘special’ way. One thing is for sure, as Globalisation/Globalization accelerates, these tests are beginning to look more and more alike. It took all of my 20 years of teaching experience to really look into the differences much like a detective collecting evidence.
