Hello! Hello! Hello everybody! Here is my latest video: Learn English Live 10.
I thought long and hard about Lintette Marie’s question regarding verbs that are used in the progressive tenses and verbs that aren’t. The big problem is that you learn the rules only to see native speakers of English break them in movies. You’ll see people using the following all the time:
I’m loving it!
I’m liking it!
This is OK for informal conversation, but don’t be fooled! If you’re learning English to be a high end business executive or if you’re taking an English test like the TOEFL or GMAT, these last two examples are wrong! So in my lesson, I have tried to show you the do’s and don’ts of using verbs in the progressive and simple verb forms.
In today’s episode we learn that Jane doesn’t know whether she should date Nick or not. What’s the problem? Well, Nick was going out with Jane’s supervisor and her friend Rosa tries to warn her.
Let’s go to the video to find out what happens!
